The Art Scene of Loja Ecuador

One of a series titled "Idilios de mi Paleta" (Idylls of my Palette) From 2010 exhibition, Art Gallery of the National Archeological Museum of Lambayeque, Peru ARTIST - Yorqui Augusto Llacxaguanga Ramirez (1974 - ) Owner of the Pinceladas Gallery and Art Supply Store  and designer of Yorqui's Camera House . In only 25 years of painting, Yorqui has been represented in over 70 solo and group exhibitions around the world, including Mexico, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, and most recently in France. His works have graced book covers and cultural magazines. His published books include: Idylls of My Palette ,  Memory , and Sketches of a Lover.  He has also won numerous awards and is the president of Asociación de Artistas Plásticos y Visuales de Loja (association of visual artists in Loja). "Rostros del futuro" (1987) ARTIST - Angel Braulio Aguilar Masaco  Studied artistic drawing and painting at Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL). Gallery owner of Galeria De Arte "Aguilar."  He considers his art to have developed from 1980 through six stages, the current stage being called "Abstract Eclectic." His work has been exhibited throughout Ecuador, plus Brazil, Bolivia, Chile and Spain. His works are held in numerous private and public collections around the world. "Square in Red" 2010. Ink and watercolor. Diego González Ojeda  is a  Profesor Investigator Artes Plásticas y Diseño ( professor and researcher of visual arts and design)  at the  Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) - t he Private Technical University of Loja (Loja's private Catholic university).   In addition to teaching painting and design, he has also created a unique multidisciplinary curriculum based on local pre-Columbian rock art petroglyphs. Diego has a lengthy CV of qualifications and publications, including architecture, exhibition design, and historic restoration and preservation.  He also has many credits listed for solo and collaborative exhibits of his own art work.  Diego has a very well-developed web presence, and can converse in fluent Spanish, English, and French.
